Note from the Author: Writing this book was SO MUCH FUN! In fact, here's a little-known secret about Venice: To get a taste of the true 'personalities' of the locals during the mid-to-late 1500's, take a non-judgemental peek at page 118. Hilarious and unbelievable! Using my background in world history and archaeology, I dove deeply into Venice and honed its fabulous story into this one little book. Something that is very important to me as a writer is that none of my books were written to adhere to any particular template, as is so common in today's travel books, I wanted each city to tell me how its book should be written, and to dictate the format of that book. I have also created similar books for both Florence as well as Rome.
