Forgotten Women Artists

Description

This is a small but well-chosen group of exceptionally talented female artists. All were exceptionally trained. Some were encouraged to pursue their art, some were discouraged. Some even apprentised with the great Michelangelo. But because of their gender, history neglected to tell their stories and they have been largely forgotten. Even so, these women managed to rise above and gain certain fame and recognition from their male peers. It’s a new world, and these women deserve to be remembered for their great talents.
